Our work
SOUTH SUDAN. 2012. MAGNA doctor examines child in the hospital Rijong, Tereka. Copyright by Martin Bandžák/MAGNA

The main aim of MAGNA workers is to provide health and social care for children and their families during humanitarian crises, conflicts, epidemics, famine and natural disasters. We create medical projects that aim to save lives and to reduce suffering of those in need. Conflicts and unstable political settings have a devastating impact on the ordinary people - direct violence, involuntary displacement, epidemics, famine and psychological trauma are common consequences and they are often connected with the collapse of medical services.
